Job summary

Northwest Health - Porter is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the midshift in the Emergency Department. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, coordinate with physicians and staff, and respond quickly to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• Basic life support (BCLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings; communicate changes to care team.
• Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration accurately.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope; collaborate on care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control practices and safe equipment handling; participate in quality checks.
