Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. You will use established nursing models to support outcomes and advocate for patients and families.

You will educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up steps, while promoting wellness and self-management within a fast-paced cardiovascular setting.

Qualifications

• Uses established nursing models to ensure compassionate care and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management.
• Performs procedures and treatments as directed and documents care in the medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests to provide exceptional care.
• Instructs patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
• Prepares patients and families for future self-management and healthy lifestyle changes.
