IMTT in St. Rose is hiring an Emergency Response Supervisor to ensure compliance with fire protection standards and manage the emergency response team. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in handling municipal and industrial emergencies and possess crucial certifications like Firefighter 1 & 2 and Haz-Mat Technician.
This position involves training, equipment maintenance, and daily checks to uphold safety protocols. Strong communication skills and the ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment are essential.
The Emergency Response Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance for fire protection and prevention at the St. Rose and Avondale terminals as well as ensuring the emergency response team and response equipment are in a ready state.
Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
This is a non‑exempt, hourly position. Employees are scheduled to work assigned shifts within a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. All hours worked must be accurately recorded, and overtime is paid in accordance with FLSA and company policy.
Occasional travel may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance notice.

This position is required to work in the outside environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
This would require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stand, or stoop, as necessary.
Ability to perform climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling and moderate lifting.
Must be able to work in confined spaces, over water and not be afraid of heights.
Ability to wear and use a respirator.
