Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic for a full-time, immediate opening. Responsibilities include patient assessment, advanced medical care using defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, IV fluids, and scene management on 911 responses.

Your role will require strong communication with patients and families, leadership on scene, and collaboration with public safety personnel. DOE applies for hourly rate; benefits are described on the careers site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Paramedic License required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
• Driving record compliant with policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.
