Job summary

Samaritan's Purse seeks an Emergency Response Operations Coordinator to support International Projects in South Sudan with warehousing, inventory control, asset management, and procurement oversight in dynamic field conditions.

You will organize quotes, manage tenders and contracts, lead supplier re-vetting, and coordinate bi-annual inventories while ensuring strong internal controls and safety standards. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory and asset management strongly preferred.
• Experience with Access or other relational database systems preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as government laws, humanitarian reports, and annual reports.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups and partners.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• 12 credit hours of Biblical Studies (required); if not completed, opportunity to meet on hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees weekly inventory reports for three transitional warehouses and supports commodity tracking from purchase to beneficiary.
• Maintains fixed-asset logs and assists with receiving/dispatching cargo; improves documentation and staff training.
• Assists with sensitive payment packages and prepares contracts over $20,000.
• Organizes quotes, bids, tenders, framework agreements, and contracts; leads supplier re-vetting per policy.
• Coordinates bi-annual physical inventory counts and field visits to ensure policy compliance.
