Job summary

The State of Wyoming is seeking a dedicated Emergency Preparedness Specialist I in Cheyenne to join the Logistics Section. You will support critical missions, coordinate CBRNE-related reporting, and assist in building local capabilities across Wyoming.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree with 0-3 years of related emergency response experience. Some travel and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• Hazardous Materials knowledge and emergency response experience.
• Familiarity with radiological/nuclear detection concepts and WMD preparedness.
• Understanding of asset tracking and procurement logistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate support and reporting for CBRNE needs via RERT and Bomb Squads.
• Support PRND program strategy and local community capability development.
• Assist in maintaining state capability to respond to incidents involving radioactive materials.
• Research capacity needs, locate resources, and obtain bids for expendables and equipment.
• Perform duty officer duties and support SRCC logistics operations.
