Job summary

Securitas USA is actively seeking full-time firefighters to respond to a wide range of emergency incidents and to support security operations at client sites. The role includes scene assessment, rescue, fire suppression, medical response, and ongoing safety reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Background check and drug test are required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor required.
• NFPA Firefighter I and II certifications required.
• Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Level certifications required.
• National Registry or State EMT/EMR certification required.
• Out-of-state certifications must transfer and be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency scenes including fire, medical, bomb threats, flooding, and various other incidents.
• Arrives on scene, assesses situation, and relays information to dispatch and supervisor.
• Performs rescue procedures including vehicle and machinery extrication, and high/low-angle rescues.
• Engages in fire suppression using apparatus, hydrants, hoses, and extinguishers.
• Responds to hazardous material incidents and contains spills.
• Responds to medical emergencies, conducts patient assessment and transport to onsite clinic.
• Relays patient information to medical personnel and assists with care.
• Administers treatment per protocols at scene or in response vehicle.
• Performs triage during mass casualty incidents.
• Fulfills standard security duties: access control, patrolling, and reporting irregularities.
