Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking full-time firefighters to respond to a variety of emergencies, perform rescues, and provide medical support and security duties across multiple incidents. The role pays $18.11 per hour, about $60,270 annually, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Requirements include 18+ years old, a clean background, and NFPA Firefighter I & II, HazMat Awareness/Operations, and EMT/EMR certifications (Indiana transferability within 90 days).

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass a lifetime background check and drug test.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have excellent communication skills and maintain a professional demeanor.
• NFPA Firefighter I & II certifications required.
• Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Level certifications required.
• National Registry or State EMT/EMR certification required.
• Out-of-state certifications must be transferable to Indiana and completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency scenes including fire, medical, bomb threats, flooding, and other incidents.
• Rescues and extricates people from vehicles and machinery.
• Performs fire suppression using apparatus, hoses, and extinguishers.
• Handles hazardous materials spill containment.
• Provides medical assessment, stabilization, and transport to medical clinic.
• Relays patient information to medical personnel and documents care.
• Performs triage during mass casualty incidents.
• Performs security duties: unlock doors, patrols, and report irregularities.
• Maintains logs and reports; performs other duties as assigned.
