Job summary

MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You will participate in rounds, triage, client communication, anesthesia, in-house lab, and nursing care for hospitalized patients.

The role requires a State Registered Veterinary Technician license, previous veterinary experience (emergency preferred), strong drug calculation skills, and flexibility to work a Wednesday-Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Prior veterinary experience required; emergency experience preferred.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions).
• Flexibility with work hours; able to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver organized rounds; discuss cases and gather information.
• Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment.
• Partner with patient care team on treatment plans and nursing care.
• Provide client education on home care, meds, and wellness updates.
• Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and procedures.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures.
• Perform in-house lab testing and prep samples for outside labs.

We are looking for:

EmergencyCredentialedVeterinary Technician

Proposed Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 9a-7p

This role has a hiring range of $18.75-35.00/hr based on experience.

Whatyou’lldo:

Who you are:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required

• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
