Job summary

State of Wyoming seeks a detail-oriented Emergency Preparedness Specialist I to join the Logistics Section, supporting RERTs, Bomb Squads, and WOHS operations across Wyoming. This role involves coordinating resources, tracking equipment, and contributing to the Type and Kind Project while ensuring readiness for crises.

The position requires knowledge of hazardous materials, radiological/nuclear detection, and asset procurement.

Qualifications

• Hazardous materials knowledge and incident response awareness.
• Understanding of PRND programs and radiologicaland nuclear detection concepts.
• Experience with asset tracking and procurement logistics could be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate support and reporting for RERTs and Bomb Squads across Wyoming.
• Support PRND program strategy and local capacity development.
• Assist in maintaining capability to respond to incidents involving radioactive/nuclear materials.
• Research capacity needs, procure resources, track costs, and obtain bids.
• Support logistical processes to build Wyoming-wide response capabilities.
• Serve as duty officer during SRCC hours per guidelines.
• Remain ready for extended field deployment and participate in exercises.
