Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking an experienced RN to provide comprehensive nursing care within the Emergency Services Complex. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for assigned patients, under supervision of Nurse Manager and Director.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans, supervise non-professional staff, and ensure standards of excellence across patient populations.

Qualifications

• Education and licensure requirements as stated in the job posting.
• Minimum one year nursing experience; two years RN preferred.
• Virginia RN license is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS within 180 days preferred.
• Specialty certification in the field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient clinical and psychosocial needs per unit standards.
• Facilitates patient throughput to ensure timely, competent care.
• Focuses on quality outcomes and adherence to evidence-based practice.
• Considers diverse patient populations; adapts education to patient/family.
• Educates and coordinates patient education and discharge planning with family/caregivers.
• Completes clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards.
• Delegates and prioritizes tasks to maintain care quality.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations.
• Evaluates personal support needs and uses appropriate systems.

Education

Education Program Graduate, Nursing (Required)

Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Preferred)

1 year Nursing experience in a behavioral health setting (Preferred)

2 years Registered Nursing (Preferred)
