Job summary

Grace Medical Center in Baltimore is seeking a clinical consultant to lead Behavioral Health assessments and crisis intervention for ED patients, coordinating care between hospital, community and home settings.

The role involves collaborating with ED physicians and psychiatrists to determine next steps, documenting disposition plans, and maintaining clear communication with patients, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Masters in Social Work or Clinical Counseling required.
• Current Maryland LCSW-C or LCPC license required.
• 2-3 years of Behavioral Health experience, particularly in Emergency Department settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Behavioral Health assessments and crisis intervention for psychiatric patients in the ED and related areas.
• Collaborate with ED physician and psychiatrist to determine next level of care.
• Develop and document psychiatric disposition plans; update ED team regularly.

As a clinical consultant, responsible for comprehensive Behavioral Health assessment, evaluation, and recommendations for care for patients in the Emergency Departments at Sinai and Grace Medical Center and elsewhere as needed, and coordinating health services between the hospital, community and home setting.

• Provides Behavioral Health assessment and crisis intervention to psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department, and elsewhere as needed.
• Collaborates with the ED attending provider and psychiatrist to develop recommendations for the next level of care for psychiatric patients seen in consultation.
• Recommends and documents psychiatric plan for disposition for psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department. Provides regular updates to ED team who implement the plan of care while in the ED. Provides direction to the Crisis Intervention Associates.
• Communicates with patients, families, colleagues and management regarding applicable plan of care .

$29.00 to $51.27 Based On Experience
