Job summary

LifeBridge Health’s Carroll Hospital in Westminster, MD, seeks an Emergency Department Psychiatric Evaluator to support the Behavioral Health Team in the ED. The role includes evaluating patients, guiding social work services, and coordinating discharge planning and aftercare in complex cases.

Requires an MSW and LSCW-C or LCPC license; LMSW or LGPC may be considered with relevant background. 2–4 years of clinical experience in acute or psychiatric settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work required.
• LSCW-C or LCPC license required; LMSW or LGPC considered with relevant background/work experience.
• 2-4 years of clinical experience required; experience in acute in-patient or psych social work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation as part of the Behavioral Health Team in the ED.
• Advise patients and families on social issues; coordinate discharge and aftercare arrangements.
• Assist in program planning and development for behavioral health services.

Advises patient, families or members of our community on social issues, may arrange discharge and aftercare at home or in institutions, may arrange for foster care or nursing home placement, financial assistance, etc. Assists the Behavioral Health Services Coordinator of Social Work in program planning and development for specific service populations.

Experience

2 -4 years of clinical experience required - Experience in acute in-patient or psych social work experience preferred

Pay Range: $29.00 to $51.27 Based On Experience
