Job summary

The State of Louisiana in Baton Rouge seeks a full-time unclassified specialist to support emergency preparedness information systems. This role focuses on ensuring ESF-8 Portal readiness, data accuracy, and inter-agency collaboration to coordinate resources during emergencies.

Collaborate with healthcare facilities, ESF-8 partners, and vendors; provide training, testing, and user support; and assist in operations during emergencies and exercises, emphasizing reliability and timely information

Responsibilities

Maintain the operational readiness and accuracy of the ESF-8 Portal and other emergency preparedness information systems, including RAVE and the At-Risk Registry for home health and hospice.
Coordinate the collection, validation, and maintenance of healthcare facility data to support situational awareness, resource coordination, and emergency response planning.
Collaborate with healthcare facilities, ESF-8 partners, regional stakeholders, and vendors to ensure effective information sharing and system functionality.
Provide technical assistance and user support to system users and partners, resolving issues and coordinating with vendors as needed.
Develop and support user training, system testing, and improvements to enhance system reliability, accessibility, and operational readiness.
Coordinate assigned projects related to emergency preparedness information systems, including monitoring progress and facilitating communication among stakeholders.
Support ESF-8 operations during emergencies, exercises, and special events by facilitating timely information sharing, resource coordination, and operational decision-making.
