Northwestern Medicine seeks a Physician Assistant for our Emergency Department in Lake Forest, IL. The role includes clinical care, teaching patients and families, and collaboration with physicians. A rotating schedule includes weekends and night shifts.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree (nursing or PA) and active IL RN/APRN or PA license with BLS. Credentialing through NM MSO is required. We offer a collegial environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program or PA program.
• Current Illinois RN license and APRN license or PA license in Illinois.
• Credentialed through Northwestern Medicine MSO.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Conducts comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status and performs examinations.
• Provides direct clinical care and prescribes medications and orders tests.
• Evaluates patients for further care needs and documents care in medical records.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and participates in education of patients, families and staff.
• Participates in quality improvement and/or research initiatives.
