Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Illinois and as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities.
• Provides direct clinical care to patients.
• Prescribes/orders medications and therapies; orders/interprets labs and x-rays.
• Evaluates patients for further health care needs.
• Documents care and education in the medical record.
