Job summary

ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital in Adrian Township, MI, seeks a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Emergency Center. This part-time role covers rotations and shifts, including 6:30am-7:00pm and 11:00am-11:30pm as needed, supporting patient care, scheduling, admissions, transfers, and specimen transport.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent plus EMT/Paramedic, 2nd year nursing student, CNA, MA, or healthcare related higher education training.
• One year of college education in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Provide care appropriate to patient age groups (infant to geriatric) under licensed RN supervision.
• Obtain patient data including vitals and I/O, document on nursing assessment sheet.
• Assist physicians and nurses with examinations and procedures as assigned.
• Maintain supplies and ensure proper functioning of equipment; assist with data entry.
• Coordinate scheduling, admission, discharge, transfer, and other patient flow tasks.
• Transport patients, specimens, and documents; answer phones and take messages.
