Job summary

East Bay Innovations in Oakland, CA seeks an Emergency Cellphone Responder (E-Cell) for part-time, on-call coverage to support clients in their homes and communities.

You will organize coverage, respond to emergencies, discuss supports with families, and assist staff with on-call duties; requires a high school diploma and commitment to inclusion; training provided; valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Commitment to inclusion and consumer-driven services.
• Ability to work cooperatively with clients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to adults with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Be trained on support needs for multiple clients and assist staff over the phone.
• Find coverage for open shifts with other staff and be available for on-call shifts.
• Work shifts with clients in homes as needed during 24-hour on-call periods.
• Organize coverage for open shifts, respond to emergencies, and discuss supports with families.
