Job summary

GEMD Emergency Medicine Specialty Services seeks a Nurse Operations Manager to lead clinical operations, supervise the nursing team, and ensure smooth day-to-day patient care across outpatient facilities. You will manage staffing, training, QA activities, and adherence to regulatory surveys, while supporting the Facility Director.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, ACLS/PALS, and at least five years of nursing experience with three in emergency medicine.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years nursing experience with 3 of those years in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Florida RN License; ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Must be credentialed within each facility through routine privilege/credential process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical area workflow and ensure shifts are covered.
• Coordinate and provide oversight of training for clinical staff (providers, lab, radiology).
• Generate clinical staff schedules ensuring fairness and adequate coverage.
• Maintain quality standards by updating protocols and leading QA/PI activities.
• Travel between local facilities (50-mile radius) to cover shifts as requested.
• Participate in audits and surveys related to clinical operations (DOH, COLA, AHCA, JC).
• Assist with hiring/termination processes for the clinical team and support Facility Leader in their absence.
