Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to orient and mentor ED nursing staff, plan and evaluate orientation programs, and serve as a role model for clinical staff. The role supports continued professional development and adherence to nursing standards.

The position requires BSN (or current enrollment with 12-month remaining) and is based in a fast-paced ED setting with comprehensive orientation covering BLS/ACLS/PALS. A MSN is preferred and ED experience is valued.

Qualifications

• BSN required or currently enrolled in BSN program with anticipated graduation date within 12 months of starting in role.
• MSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs, counsels, and monitors nursing orientees in clinical nursing practices.
• Plans and structures orientation programs with educators and nurse managers.
• Performs evaluations of nursing staff and documents observations.
