ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Nursing Professional Development Specialist to support our Emergency Department in Newark, Delaware. You will lead ED nurse residency cohorts, oversee onboarding, competency management, and evidence-based practice initiatives, partnering with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to advance clinical excellence.

Hospital-based clinical and educational experience.

Responsibilities

Lead Emergency Nurse Residency Programs.
Provide direction, oversight, and facilitation of Emergency Department nurse residency programs.
Support and mentor new graduate nurses through transition-to-practice experiences.
Coordinate and evaluate educational programming for three residency cohorts each year.
Advance Clinical Excellence through competency-based education and practice guidelines.
Develop orientation plans that support onboarding and retention.
Identify learning needs via performance data and quality metrics.
Facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
Translate evidence into practice to improve patient and nursing outcomes.
