Job summary

ChristianaCare, Newark, DE is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist in the Emergency Department. This role leads ED residency programs, guides onboarding, and drives competency assessment and evidence-based practice to elevate patient care.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with MSN enrollment or completion, and possess hospital education experience, certification in ED nursing, and strong collaboration and change-management skills.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; MSN or active enrollment in MSN/MS is required with completion within three years.
• Experience in hospital-based education and performance improvement.
• Certification in emergency nursing or related specialty (CEN/TCRN/SANE/CCRN/CPEN) is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Emergency Department nurse residency programs.
• Design and evaluate competency-based education and orientation plans.
• Advance evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with nursing leaders, physicians, educators and interdisciplinary teams to drive practice improvements.
