Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing staff in the Observation Unit. You will assist in gathering information on patient condition as requested and report any changes promptly.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and relevant experience in inpatient or long-term care settings, or equivalent training. Night shift hours are 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, across United States locations where CoxHealth operates.

• Recent experience in inpatient/long-term care settings or related nursing programs is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Job Description

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.

Education

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Required: Experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting within the last 3 years, or EMT, CNA or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years, or Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years or Completed fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in accredited professional or practice nursing program, or completion of 90 days in the Apprenticeship position.
