Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing staff supervision during the night shift. The role supports patient information gathering and reporting changes in condition, requiring strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and recent experience as a nursing assistant or related role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Recent experience as nursing assistant, EMT, CNA, or surgical tech within last 3 years.
• Completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within last 3 years or Fundamentals of Nursing course with clinical.
• 90 days in Apprenticeship position or equivalent program.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Obtain information on patient condition and report changes to nursing staff.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication with the care team.
• Utilize time management and multitasking skills to support patient care during night shift.
