Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking a Nurse Assistant / EMT to provide basic patient care under nursing direction in the Emergency Department South. The schedule is night shift, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a 36-hour workweek. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent; preferred EMT, PCA, or CNA experience.

BLS must be obtained within 90 days. Strong communication, time management, and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred EMT, PCA, Nurse Assistant experience or completion of fundamentals of nursing.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.
• Exhibits valuable time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
