Job summary

Merit Restorations is seeking a Mitigation Technician to join our on-site team. You will assist in emergency mitigation efforts for water, fire, mold, and storm damage, supporting the Lead Technician and ensuring professional, timely service.

Qualified candidates are ready for hands-on field work, willing to learn, and committed to safety and quality outcomes. This is a fast-paced, field-based role with growth potential and company-supported certifications.

Qualifications

• Entry-level or 6–12 months experience in construction, labor, or restoration.
• IICRC WRT & ASD certification (preferred) or willingness to earn it within 12 months
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs., climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Available for rotating on-call shifts, including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to water, mold, and storm damage emergencies
• Perform mitigation services including demo, extraction, drying, and cleanup under supervision
• Set up and monitor drying equipment
• Follow IICRC standards and job-specific instructions from the Lead Technician
• Load/unload trucks and organize tools, materials, and supplies
• Maintain vehicle and jobsite readiness and cleanliness
