Job summary

Navajo Health Foundation - Sage Memorial Hospital, Inc. seeks an experienced physician to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care in the emergency department.

The role covers triage, lifesaving interventions, prescribing medications, admitting patients, and supervising medical students and residents as needed. Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO with EM residency, Arizona license, DEA, and ACLS/PALS/ATLS certifications, plus at least 3 years of relevant ER experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required with board certification or eligible in emergency medicine.
• Arizona medical license and DEA registration required.
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of directly related emergency medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage and emergency lifesaving treatments in the ER.
• Direct patient care including examinations, evaluations, diagnoses and treatments.
• Prescribe medications and admit patients when appropriate.
• Supervise medical students and residents during specialty activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
