Job summary

WVU Medicine seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician to join the Jackson General Hospital ED team in Jackson, WV. The successful candidate will provide 24/7 acute care to adults and children in a Level IV trauma center.

This on-site role offers a collaborative environment with access to hospital resources and a commitment to patient safety and quality care. Expect to work 40 hours per week with supportive leadership, ongoing education, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree; eligible for medical licensure in West Virginia.
• Emergency Medicine residency and/or fellowship completed.
• Emergency Medicine Board Certification required at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care 24/7 in Jackson General Hospital ED.
• Maintain board certification and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

WVUHS Medical Group seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician. The successful candidate/candidates will be expected to practice in the primary location of Jackson General Hospital.

The Jackson General Hospital Emergency Department provides acute care services for patients of all ages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. With a Level IV trauma center, adult and pediatric patients are seen for any cardiac, respiratory, trauma, or general medicine issues. Our goal is to deliver quick, effective diagnosis and treatment or transport for all patients.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain state medical license. Applicants must have completed Emergency Medicine residency and/or a fellowship and be eligible for the American Board of Medical Specialties. Emergency Medicine Board Certification required. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
