TeamHealth is launching a brand-new emergency medicine team at St. David's Emergency Center in Kyle, TX, a freestanding ED opening February 1, 2027.

The role offers 24-hour physician coverage across two 12-hour shifts with on-site CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and lab services, and access to MediTech EMR. We seek ABEM board-certified or eligible physicians with 5+ years of ED/EM fellowship; Texas license or eligibility; ACLS/ATLS/PALS.

TeamHealth is excited to announce new emergency medicine opportunities at St. David's Emergency Center - Kyle! Located under 20 miles south of Austin, Texas, this brand-new freestanding emergency department is currently under construction and targeting a February 1, 2027 opening. Affiliated with St. David's South Austin Medical Center, a busy Level II Trauma Center, we're excited to build our new EM team and welcome physicians who want to be part of the launch!

Opportunity Highlights

• Target opening: February 1, 2027 (pending construction)
• 12 exam rooms; 13,000 sq. ft.
• Projected volume: ~12,000 annual visits (~33/day)
• Physician coverage: 24 hours/day; two, 12-hour shifts
• On-site diagnostics: CT, X-ray, ultrasound and lab services
• EMR: MediTech
• Specialty backup: cardiology, neurology/stroke, general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, critical care and Level II trauma services via South Austin Medical Center
• APC coverage may be added as volume grows

Compensation And Flexibility

• W2 employment
• Full-time and part-time opportunities
• Competitive base + RVU compensation
• Full-time = 120 hours/month (10 shifts)
• Health insurance and sign-on bonus offered to full-time physicians

• Professional liability insurance + tail coverage
• Option to pick up shifts at other St. David's EDs
