Job summary

TeamHealth seeks an Emergency Department Medical Director to lead a brand-new freestanding ED in Kyle, Texas opening Feb 1, 2027. This role offers dynamic physician leadership, shaping operations, staffing, and quality measures from day one.

Affiliated with St. David's South Austin Medical Center, the ED will feature 12 exam rooms, 24/7 physician coverage, on-site CT/X-ray/ultrasound, and MediTech EMR. Competitive base plus RVU, stipends, and bonuses accompany full benefits.

Qualifications

• ABEM board certification or eligibility preferred.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS required.
• Texas medical license or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Lead the launch and build the EM physician team for the new Kyle ED.
• Shape clinical operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with St. David's/South Austin Medical Center leadership to drive quality and operational excellence.
