Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• PA Certification required.
• NJ State Board of Medical Examiners/Physician Assistant Advisory licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• New Jersey CDS and DEA licensure required.
• Professional organization membership preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility including extended hours, weekdays, overnights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records patient history.
• Performs physical and medical screening examinations.
• Completes diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
• Orders diagnostic tests and therapies as appropriate.
• Develops diagnostic and treatment plans with the care team.
• Coordinates patient care with ED and hospital staff.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding health, and refers to specialists as needed.
• Maintains timely and thorough charting.
