Job summary

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team.

The PA will provide direct patient care, evaluate and diagnose patients, order and interpret studies (including advanced imaging), perform ED procedures, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with EM physicians and the health care team. Notably, Emergency Medicine experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• NCCPA certification.
• Wisconsin licensure upon hire; ability to obtain licensure in the hiring state.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including patient evaluation and diagnosis.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including advanced imaging.
• Perform ED procedures within scope and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians and healthcare team; perform other duties as assigned.

RHSC in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

Our PA team practices across three sites:

• Regions Hospital — a Level I Trauma Center in St. Paul, Minnesota
• Lakeview Hospital — a community hospital in Stillwater, Minnesota
• Hudson Hospital — a community hospital in Hudson, Wisconsin

Not considering new grads at this time. Emergency Medicine Experience Preferred.This position is responsible for providing direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including patient evaluation, diagnosis, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies (including advanced imaging), performance of procedures within scope, development of treatment plans, and collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians and the healthcare team. Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE:

0.8 FTE- Typical Emergency Department Schedule. Blend of Day/Swing/Night Shifts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
• Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
• Physician Assistant Certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Able to obtain Wisconsin licensure upon hire.
• ACLS/BLS/ATLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
• EMERGENCY MEDICINE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
• PALS recommended

PAY RANGE STATEMENT:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity.
