Job summary

HealthPartners in St. Paul, MN seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department team. You will provide direct patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and coordination of diagnostics and treatment plans in a fast-paced ED environment.

The position requires NCCPA certification, Minnesota licensure (Wisconsin licensure upon hire), and ACLS/BLS/ATLS. Typical schedule is 0.8 FTE with a blend of day, swing, and night shifts.

Responsibilities

Job description

RHSC in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This position is responsible for providing direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including patient evaluation, diagnosis, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies (including advanced imaging), performance of procedures within scope, development of treatment plans, and collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians and the healthcare team. Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE:

0.8 FTE- Typical Emergency Department Schedule. Blend of Day/Swing/Night Shifts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • Physician Assistant Certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

  • Current Minnesota license

  • Able to obtain Wisconsin licensure upon hire.

  • ACLS/BLS/ATLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • EMERGENCY MEDICINE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • PALS recommended

PAY RANGE:

$139,900.80 - $149,489.60 annually based on a 1.0 FTE

PAY RANGE STATEMENT:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity.
