Society of Emergency Medicine PAs (SEMPA) is seeking an APP to augment physician teams in the Emergency Medicine setting across multiple Atrium Cabarrus sites in North Carolina. The role emphasizes independent and interdependent scheduling, supervision, and performance of complex procedures within state board authority.
You will join a staff of physicians and APPs at a Level 3 trauma center with 40 ED beds and occasional flow to freestanding EDs.
Augments a physician's ability to provide patient care services by independently and interdependently scheduling, supervising, and/or conducting complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and/or surgeries in the Emergency Medicine setting. Participates independently in the delivery of direct patient care within the scope of the individual authority granted by the applicable state State Boards of Medical Examiners.

33 full time physicians and 22 full time APPs.
Working at Atrium Cabarrus Medical Center primarily. CAB is a level 3 trauma center with 40 ED beds. Will also have some flow to freestanding EDs: Atrium Kannapolis and Atrium Harrisburg.
2 + years of emergency medicine experience.
Must have NC PA license
10 hr shifts. 130 hrs/month or 151.67 hrs/month negotiable based on the candidate's preference. Need to be able to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift and nights, weekends and holidays. For the most part, overnights are covered by Nocturnists who like that schedule but there will still be some. 2-4 nights per month is typical if not a Nocturnist.
