Job summary

Northwest Acute Care Specialists, P.C. is seeking an Emergency Physician at Legacy Silverton Medical Center. You will provide emergency and urgent care services, with responsibilities spanning clinical decision-making and administrative duties in a busy acute care setting.

Requires board-eligible/certified in Emergency Medicine, unrestricted state licensure, and strong communication. Position involves collaboration with Legacy Health and participation in hospital-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College.
• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification: Board eligible/certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
• Current Oregon MD license prior to start date.
• Must meet professional standards and be board eligible/certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with EMR, word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Regular and consistent attendance at work.

Responsibilities

• Examines, diagnoses and treats illness and injuries in the acute care setting.
• Provides immediate diagnosis and resuscitation care for life-threatening conditions.
• Provides diagnosis and care based on medical history, physical examination and diagnostic tests.
• Provides complete and current documentation of care delivered.
• Provides supportive care until care can be assumed by a specialist.
• May train medical and nursing personnel in resuscitation techniques.
• Adheres to safety and care standards and supports hospital mission and values.
• Participates in standards, policies, and QA guidelines for emergency services.
• Meets with administrators to review clinical and administrative issues.
• Serves on department and Legacy Health System committees.
