Job Specifics:
- The Department of Emergency Medicine at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, a major academic hospital affiliated with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP), in Peoria, IL, is actively recruiting full-time BC/BE Emergency Physicians for Core Faculty positions in the UICOMP Emergency Medicine Residency Program. The residency program has been continuously accredited since 1984, is a PGY1-PGY3 program, and has recently expanded to 14 residents annually. It also hosts a Simulation Fellowship and a recently approved Ultrasound Fellowship. EM Core Faculty physicians are employed by OSF Healthcare and hold academic appointments through UICOMP.
- Our Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma expertise, combined with the advanced capabilities of an academic medical center, provide emergency patients with unmatched resources for life-saving care. Our facilities include a 55-bed Emergency Department, a Life Flight patient transport program, and roles as the Resource Hospital for the Peoria Area EMS system and the Regional Hospital Coordination Center through our Disaster Preparedness office, ensuring comprehensive emergency services.

- Full-time clinical base salary range: $461,760 - $592,800
- This range is an estimate and may be influenced by factors such as experience, qualifications, community needs, and additional compensation components like bonuses or incentives.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the current state.
- Licensed by the DEA and Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
- Board certified or eligible in the relevant specialty(s). Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and privileges.
- Eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
- Qualified for OSF's professional malpractice and liability coverage programs.

- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned with patient preferences, goals, and needs.
