Job description

Step into a dynamic, high-acuity Emergency Department in Northern New Jersey and earn in the $420K+ range! This is a prime opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician seeking excellent compensation, flexible scheduling, and a strong clinical support team. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a recent resident, this role offers the autonomy of a 1099 structure with the benefits of a collaborative hospital environment.

What You’ll Do :

As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you’ll provide expert care in a busy, modern ED, supported by experienced Advanced Practice Providers and a full range of specialty backup. Responsibilities include :

Delivering comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population.

Managing high-acuity trauma and acute medical conditions.

Collaborating with hospitalists and specialists to ensure top-tier patient outcomes.

Utilizing Epic EMR to document and manage patient care efficiently.

Participating in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Schedule : 12-hour physician shifts (7a–7p, 7p–7a, 1p–9p) with flexible full-time or part-time options.

Clinical Support : Radiology (day / telerad at night), Interventional Radiology, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, ENT, GYN, Cardiology, Neurology (weekday hours), Line Service, Ultrasound, Hospitalist coverage.

Compensation :

240 / hour (day) , $250 / hour (night)

Projected Annual Income : ~$420K (12 shifts / month, 12 months / year)

Candidate Requirements :

Education : MD or DO; ABEM / AOBEM certified or recent residency graduate.

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based emergency medicine experience preferred.

Licensure : Eligible for a New Jersey Medical License.

Certifications : ATLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS (all required).

Additional : Epic EMR experience a plus. Must be collaborative, detail-oriented, and patient-focused.
