Job description

Owensboro Health Medical Group is seeking additional Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM) physicians to join our team at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, which consists of 5 physicians and 2 NPs/PAs managing approximately 15,000 annual ED visits.

The 10-bed emergency department is located within a 60-bed community hospital where patient experience and quality care are prioritized for the population served across eight counties in western Kentucky.

Compensation and Benefits

1. $426,000 two-year guaranteed base compensation
2. $50,000 potential engagement bonus
3. $35,000 upfront bonus
4. $25,000 annual student loan repayment (total of $50,000)
5. $6,000 CME allowance annually
6. $2,000 toward professional society memberships, DEA, and licensing
7. Full benefits and retirement packages
8. Malpractice insurance with tail coverage

Work Schedule

1. 142 twelve-hour shifts annually (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
2. Shifts split proportionally between days and nights
3. 24 hours of physician coverage and 10 hours of APC coverage per shift
4. Average of 40 patients per day in the ED
