Job summary

Henry Ford Health System in Sterling Heights, MI, seeks an experienced Specialty/Invasive Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department at the freestanding center on 15 Mile near Ryan.

The PA will perform assessments, diagnoses, treatments, education and care coordination as a first-line provider, collaborating with attending physicians, APPs, and nurses. ED experience is required; new graduates are not considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program.
• Requires Michigan state licensure and NCCPA certification.
• Current ACLS/BLS; ATLS/PALS provider status as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in the ED setting.
• Provide education and care coordination as a first-line provider.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, APPs, nurses, and other team members.
• Perform procedures as credentialed and within training/experience.
• Work across departments as needed within the ED and surgical/trauma areas.
