Job summary

Henry Ford Health System is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Auburn Hills Primary Care location. Under supervision, you will greet patients, take histories, measure vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and assist the provider during examinations.

You may administer medications, document care in the EHR, and respond to patient requests via MyChart. Must have high school diploma or GED and BLS-C; EPIC experience preferred. Day shift, full-time position in Auburn Hills, MI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills in ambulatory care preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to room and prepare for examination, procedure, and treatment.
• Obtain vital signs and record in the EHR.
• Obtain and record patient history.
• Prepare for and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer and record medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Document care in the EHR and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Manage patient communication via phone, In Basket, and MyChart.
