Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, IA seeks a Part Time Advanced Practitioner to join our Emergency Medicine team. You will provide high-quality acute care in a fast-paced ED across multiple Des Moines locations, with a focus on patient-centered care and efficient care coordination.

This role offers flexible scheduling, no inpatient duties, and the support of a collaborative team, with EPIC EMR integration and access to modern clinic and hospital resources to help patients go from ill to well.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an emergency medicine provider.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice.

Responsibilities

• Practice at all 3 Des Moines locations: Methodist, Lutheran & Methodist West Emergency Departments.
• Shift duration: 12 hours & 9 hours.
• Variety of shifts, hours vary by location.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Improve the health of the people and communities we serve.
