Job summary

Northwestern Medicine invites applicants for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role in Chicago, IL. The position schedule is 6pm-6:30am with weekend and holiday coverage required.

The candidate must hold an Illinois RN license and an Illinois APRN or PA license, with MSO privileging and AHA BLS certification. Emergency Medicine experience is preferred. Northwestern Medicine offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Current license as a Registered Nurse in Illinois and APRN license in Illinois or PA license in Illinois; board certification as APRN/PA per state requirements.
Privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO).
CPR – BLS, issued by the American Heart Association.
Emergency Medicine experience.

Responsibilities

Conducts comprehensive health assessments and physical exams.
Provides direct clinical care and prescribes medications and orders tests.
Ensures appropriate patient education and documentation.
Maintains licensure and privileging; participates in quality improvement and committees.
