Job summary

Memorial Hermann - Cypress Hospital seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive emergency care. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and follow up across life stages within approved protocols while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires Texas NP/PA licensure and eligible prescriptive authority, ACLS/BLS, and certification in appropriate population focus. Experience in ED is preferred; DEA eligibility is needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the State of Texas with Masters.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Texas and APRN prescriptive authority eligibility.
• Board certification in population foci; DEA licensure eligibility.
• Graduate of a Physician Assistant program; NCCPA certification and Texas PA license.
• Basic or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patient care across the lifespan in ED.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions per protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team in care pathways.
• Document patient histories, orders, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide triage and rapid decision-making to ensure patient flow.
