Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the State of Texas and Masters required.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Texas; APRN licensure and prescriptive authority eligibility.
• Certified by a national certification in population foci and/or specialty recognition; DEA licensure eligibility.
• Graduate of a Physician Assistant program; PA certified and Texas PA license; DEA licensure eligibility.
• Basic or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides health promotion and the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patient problems per protocols.
• Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions; manages patient care across lifespan.
• Collaborates with physicians in planning and coordinating patient care; ensures documentation accuracy.
• Performs procedures within scope of APRN/PA credentialing and hospital policy; participates in quality improvement.

Education

Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the State of Texas and Masters required

Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program; Masters strongly preferred
