EmergyCare, Inc. in Conneaut Lake, PA is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide high-quality pre-hospital care.

The EMT will perform basic life support, assess patients, transport to facilities, and operate ambulance, wheelchair, and medical van as needed. Qualified applicants must hold current EMT and BLS-CPR certifications, a valid driver's license, and demonstrate computer skills for charting.

Qualifications

• Must have current EMT and BLS-CPR Certifications.
• Must have valid Driver's License and ability to drive a minimum of 4 hours per shift.
• Effective computer skills required with the ability to complete quality chart notes by the end of the shift.
• Must be available to work rotating shifts: nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• The EMT is fully responsible for all actions as a certified EMT and delivers pre-hospital emergency care, including basic life support and patient transport via ambulance, wheelchair, or medical van.
• Performs patient assessments to determine illness/injury severity and prioritizes medical procedures; adheres to protocols and provides required treatments.

Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Position: Full-time

Location: Conneaut Lake

The Emergency Medical Technician is fully responsible for all actions as a certified Emergency Medical Technician and is accountable for the quality of emergency and non-emergency medical care delivered. In delivering pre-hospital emergency care, the EMT performs all techniques of basic life support, provides specified field treatment for medical emergencies, and transports patients to the appropriate medical facility. This includes ambulance, wheelchair and medical van.

EMTs' conducts patient assessments to assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed, or need for additional assistance, and provides basic life support to all patients, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Qualified applicants must maintain up-to-date knowledge and clinical skills on treatment techniques, protocol changes, and application of new drugs, material, and equipment and are required to attend continuing education on a regular basis.

PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: Required Experience

• Must have current EMT and BLS-CPR Certifications.

Preferred Experience

• Hands on experience as an EMT
• Knowledge of Zoll/EMS Charts Patient Reporting software; Internet software; experience using MS Excel and MS Word.
