Emergycare Inc in Crawford County, PA, seeks a certified EMT to provide basic pre-hospital emergency care and transport patients to appropriate facilities. You will perform BLS tasks, communicate with receiving facilities, and work under established EMS protocols.

The role includes supervising and guiding EMTs and EMS students, driving ambulances, and maintaining readiness of equipment such as backboards, splints and oxygen supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required to start training and certification.
• Current Pennsylvania EMT certification with BLS-CPR recognition.
• Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training completion is mandatory.
• Valid PA driver''s license required and ability to drive minimum 4 hours per shift.

Summary Provides basic pre-hospital emergency care to the sick and injured and transports emergency and non-emergency patients safely and efficiently to appropriate medical facilities. The Emergency Medical technician evaluates the patient and relays pertinent information to the appropriate medical facilities. The EMT works closely with the paramedic in providing effective and efficient patient care in accordance with established protocols and by performing the following duties.Personnel Guided Assists with the supervision, training and direction of new EMT's and EMS students and other outside agency personnel as directed.Equipment All BLS equipment including backboards, splints, oxygen equipment, radios, ambulance, and wheelchair vehicles.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned.The Emergency Medical Technician is fully responsible for all actions as a certified Emergency Medical Technician and is accountable for the quality of emergency and non-emergency medical care delivered. In delivering pre-hospital emergency care, the EMT performs all techniques of basic life support, provides specified field treatment for medical emergencies, and transports patients to the appropriate medical facility. This includes ambulance, wheelchair and medical van. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
