Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• National and/or State EMT-Basic certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
• Must read, write and communicate professionally with employees and managers.
• Knowledge of company protocols, operational procedures and safety policies.
• Ability to drive large vehicles in normal and adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Examiness patient for signs of illness or injury and assists other medical personnel as necessary.
• Administers basic life support care before and during transport.
• Transfers patient safely to the medical facility and communicates with receiving personnel.
• Documents patient condition and treatment on EMS run reports.
• Performs regular equipment checks and ensures ambulance gear is present and functional.
• Operates ambulance safely following company driving guidelines.
• Follows FCC regulations when communicating via electronic equipment.
