Job summary

Acadian Ambulance Service in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an EMT-Basic to provide pre-hospital basic life support and transport patients to medical facilities in a timely, professional manner.

The role requires state EMT-Basic certification, CPR, and a valid driver's license. You will work within established protocols, document patient information, and assist in maintaining ambulance readiness and safety during shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.
• Current CPR certification as established by the American Heart Association.
• Current and valid state-issued driver’s license (TX requirement or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Conducts careful examination of the patient for signs and symptoms of illness/injury and assists other medical personnel.
• Administers basic life support care within licensure and approved protocols prior to and during transport.
• Provides safe handling of the patient to and from the ambulance.
• Transports patient to the medical facility in the ambulance.
• Documents patient condition and treatment on EMS run reports and other required forms.
• Maintains and tests equipment to ensure readiness of EMS apparatus.
