Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking an EMT to join our compassionate EMS team. You will respond to calls, provide basic life support, and support clinicians during patient care.

A valid NJ EMT certification and BLS are required; you will operate EMS vehicles, complete patient care reports, and uphold HMH safety and quality standards while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• NJ EMT certification required; NJ reciprocity acceptable.
• BLS certification required; valid driver's license.
• Must meet state and federal EMS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls promptly and supports public safety and clinical teams.
• Performs pre-hospital care and basic life support per patient needs.
• Operates EMS vehicles safely and maintains equipment.
• Documents care reports and communicates with medical control.
• Adheres to HMH policies and participates in QA and ongoing training.
