Job summary

AMR in Austin is hiring Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care and customer service to patients.

You will perform patient assessments, administer care using EMT skills and equipment, document information while protecting privacy, maintain a safe and stocked environment, operate an ambulance per policies and laws, and collaborate with health and safety personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS and NREMT certification.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and determine necessary care during emergencies.
• Document patient information and treatment while protecting confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills with medical equipment and procedures.
• Operate an ambulance following safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image.
